According to Hindu mythology, Sheshnag has been believed to provide bedding to the great Lord Vishnu in the sea of milk. Also believed to be a manifestation of Vishnu, cure of Sheshnag Kaalsarp Dosh can be achieved by becoming an unfailing devotee of the lord. Worshipping Lord Shiva on Mondays with vermillion has also been advised. Doing so on the first Monday of 'Saavan' is considered very, very auspicious. Sheshnag has been believed to be the eldest and most peaceful of all serpents. The apparent positions of Rahu and Ketu are very important in making out the kind of dosh a person is suffering from. In the case of Sheshnag Kaalsarp Dosh, Rahu affects the tenth house of the birth chart which defines the expenditure and journey of a person and Ketu sits in the sixth house which is the house of enemies.
